A destination management company (DMC) is "a professional services company possessing extensive local knowledge, expertise and resources, specializing in the design and implementation of events, activities, tours, transportation and program logistics." - Association of Destination Management Executives Incentive Destination Productions is the premiere destination management company in Central California. Based in Santa Barbara since 1987, we specialize in corporate and incentive travel groups visiting Santa Barbara and Ojai. It is our goal to create and manage a program that communicates the sponsoring company's message through memorable activities and events. Our services include program design and coordination, airport meet and greet, tours and sightseeing, transportation, sports and activities, off-site events, theme parties, room gifts, VIP services, speakers and entertainment. From your initial phone call to the final invoice, our staff will work hand-in-hand with you to design and manage a corporate or incentive program that communicates your message to your guests through memorable activities and events. Our company purpose is; "To provide participants with one of the most memorable experiences of their lives". We are very proud of the reputation that we have achieved in our industry with our very discerning clients and with our peers. Years of Experience IDP brings a unique combination of industry experience through its Sales Team, Program Management Team, and guide staff. Our combined industry experience, destination management experience, and our local knowledge are unsurpassed on the Central Coast. The owners of IDP are Gene and Carol Servin. Gene has over 30 years experience in the travel industry. Prior to opening IDP; Gene spent three years working in hotels, 12 years operating major incentive travel programs, and five years in destination management in Southern California. Gene has co-owned and headed IDP since it's opening in 1987 and is uniquely qualified in the length and depth of experience that he offers the client. Carol Servin, co-owner, has 11 years of experience in destination management. Their unique strengths and personalities combine to form a strong management team. Our Sales and Program Managers are hired for their attention to details and dedication to service. They are long-time residents of Santa Barbara and bring a love of the area, and local insight to their job. Instead of narrowly defined roles, our Sales Managers and Program Managers are cross-trained to help in all areas as needed. Our guide staff is trained on the company's exacting procedures in classroom seminars as well as "on the road" narration. Guides are easily identified in teal green blazers or polo shirts, navy skirts/pants, dark shoes and white shirts/blouses. They are entertaining, helpful, informative, and at-all-times, professional. Affiliations Gene Servin is a member of the Association of Destination Management Executives (ADME) as well as the Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE). Locally, we are members of the Santa Barbara Conference and Visitors Bureau. |
