The following party ideas are a sampling of some of the more popular themes IDP has produced for its clients. Evening theme parties are custom-designed to meet client needs and budgets. Santa Barbara Streetfest
Created by IDP in 1987 as an opening night party, the Streetfest welcomes guests to Santa Barbara, the America's Riviera, where "Barbareno's live life to the fullest and where having FUN is a big part of the lifestyle. A typical sunny Sunday afternoon on Santa Barbara's main beach will be moved to the hotel for your enjoyment. See the local artists displaying their art, stop and have your picture drawn by a caricaturist or have you palm read by a psychic. Live action surrounds you as a juggler shows his skill, a mime mimics your friends' funniest habits and a lively jazz band sets the tone. Bright and colorful dÈcor complete the theme.

A Taste of Santa Barbara
This opening night party includes food stations and buffet dÈcor representing Santa Barbara's diversity . Stations can include Mexican, Western, Danish, Wine Country and Spanish.

Hello to Hollywood or You are the Star
A black tie production including star look-alikes , star walk-of-fame, neon and glitz, giant gold Oscars, clacker board centerpieces.

California Dreamin'
Guests enter under our special custom designed sign, "CALIFORNIA DREAMIN", flanked by a classic '47 Ford Woody. A custom-made giant sandcastle, long boards, palm trees and tiki torches complete the scene. Drinks are served from bamboo beach rental shacks. Linens and centerpieces are beach-themed. To keep the evening on beat, a beach boys type band will play well known hits and encourage guests to dance the "surfer stomp", sing along, or simply sit back and enjoy this evening.

Phantom of the Opera
Andrew Lloyd Weber's most famous production brought to the ballroom in song and decor. Performers include understudies to the Los Angeles and San Francisco productions.

Viva Las Vegas
Las Vegas Casino party including gaming equipment, show girls, Elvis Presley performer, neon and glitz.

Evita
All the glamour of the smash stage hit brought to you in the intimate atmosphere of your own private theater. Actual cast members from the past performances bring this great story to life.
